When Ranil was locking up protesters under the PTA, he used the police force and army to lock up innocent protesters, and this was an effective tactic which completely stopped the aragalaya. This website makes sure no future government can stop the aragalaya. No matter how many protesters get beaten, arrested, or murdered by the police force and army, this site will make sure the aragalaya stays alive, stays strong, stays true to the cause.

The peaceful resistance to stand strong in the face of government corruption to force politicians to act in the best interests of the people.

This website is run by Sri Lankan patriots who believe that resistance by the people is the only way to control Sri Lanka's corrupt politicians. We are based in Sri Lanka and in foreign countries. We are beyond the direct reach of the Sri Lankan government. This website cannot be shutdown by AKD, Gotta, Mahinda, Namal, Ranil, Sajith, the SLFP, the UNP, the SJB, the NPP, or any other individual or political party.

We cannot share our names or faces because the government will target us, arrest us under the PTA, jail us for fake crimes, even murder us. Only by being anonymous can we operate freely.

We will offer social proof to build confidence that we are the aragalaya. People you know and trust will speak on our behalf, and if you trust those people, then you can trust us.

There is no membership.

The aragalaya does not accept money.

The NPP might be honest today but in 5 years time do you think all 159 MPs will be honest? In 10 years time, how many MPs from NPP will be taking bribes from businessmen, from customs officials, from drug dealers? In 15 years from now, Namal might be President. Do you still think we don't need the aragalaya?

The aragalaya cannot sleep. It must always be on watch, making sure greed does not find its way into parliament. Sri Lankans are easy to corrupt. You can bribe 90% of Sri Lankans with Rs 500,000. You can bribe an MP for Rs 10 million. You can bribe a Cabinet Minister for Rs 50 million, and you can bribe a Prime Minister or President for Rs 100M. With such greedy politicians and corrupt businessmen, the aragalaya must keep standing up to the enemies of Sri Lanka.
